MARK MUDGE

Mark Mudge is a founder and the CEO of Cultural Heritage Imaging (CHI), a non profit corporation. CHI works to enhance the communication of humanity’s cultural legacy through the use of digital imaging and to accelerate the adoption of this technology by cultural heritage professionals. Mark is a trained bronze sculptor with 15 years experience in digital 3D modeling and laser scanning. He has taught advanced computer modeling techniques since 1993 to over 800 students in the San Francisco Bay Area. His recent work involves improving the evidential reliability, cost effectiveness, and portability of digital imaging techniques through new equipment designs and methodology enhancements. Mark is an active member of International Council of Museum's (ICOM) Documentation Committee (CIDOC) and Recording, Documentation and Information Management (RecorDIM) Task Group 16, sponsored by the Getty Conservation Institute and the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS).
